The Chinese version of ROHS, also known as the "Measures for the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products," was initiated by the Ministry of Information Industry and jointly formulated by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the State Environmental Protection Administration.
