Marking system of integrated wiring in data center

Integrated wiring systems usually use tags to manage.

There are three types of tags.

-Adhesive type: The back is a self-adhesive label paper, which can be directly attached to the surface of various devices.

-Insert type: usually a piece of hard paper, which is removed and used by the installer when needed.

-Special type: labels for special occasions, such as bar codes, label cards, etc.

The integrated wiring system uses three kinds of marks: cable marks, field marks and insertion marks.

1. Cable marking

The cable marking (as shown in Figure 1) is mainly used to connect the start and end points of the cable before hardware installation. The cable marking is made of a white material with a sticker on the back, which can be directly attached to various surfaces. Its size and shape are determined according to needs. Use these cable markings to identify the origin and destination of the wires before installing and marking at the delivery site.

2. Field Mark

Field markers (as shown in Figure 2) are used for trunks / auxiliary fields between equipment and remote communication (satellite) wiring and distribution fields in buildings. The field markers are also made of self-adhesive materials on the back and can be attached to the flat surfaces of equipment rooms, wiring compartments, secondary switching rooms, trunk / auxiliary fields, and building distribution line fields.


3. Insert Mark

The insertion mark (as shown in Figure 3) is used for the tube burial between the equipment and the secondary wiring. It marks the starting point of the terminated cable with color. The insertion mark is a piece of hard paper that can be inserted into a 1.27cm & TImes; 20.32cm transparent plastic clip, which is located between two horizontal racks on the terminal block. Each mark uses a color code to indicate the source of the cable, and these cables are terminated in the management field between the equipment room and the wiring room.

The design scheme of the wiring mark is based on the "Commercial Building Telecommunications Infrastructure Management Standard" (TIA / EIA606 standard). Both pasted labels and inserted labels should meet the requirements for clarity, wear, adhesion and exposure as specified in UL969 (Underwriters Laboratories of State H, an independent, non-profit product safety experiment and certification organization). Some information can be printed on the mark position in advance, and some information is filled in by the installer. If the designer wishes to have a blank tag, he can also order a blank tag tape.

Marking is an important part of the integrated wiring system. Different marking methods should be selected according to different applications and connection methods. Among them, the insertion method is the most common.
