For the first time, Shaanxi Province has promoted low-carbon environmental protection lighting technology on the expressway. Recently, the construction workers of the Hanzhong-Shaanchuan section of Baohan Expressway are installing lighting lights in the tunnel. This time, the “Hanchuan Project” did not use the high-pressure sodium lamps used in the past, but chose new LED lamps that are energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

Liu Yajun, deputy director of Hanzhong Construction Management Department of Baohan Company of Shaanxi Expressway Group, said that we have also introduced an intelligent control system for tunnel lighting, which automatically adjusts the switch of tunnel lamps according to the light difference of the tunnel, reducing the “black hole effect” and ensuring driving comfort. After calculation, after using the LED light source technology, the operating cost is about 50%.
