Samsung Electronics will launch a miniature LED TV for the general consumer (B2C) market early next year.
According to industry insiders, Samsung Electronics will release a miniature LED TV for B2C early next year and put it on the market. In recent years, the industry has been looking forward to commercializing B2C miniature LED TVs. Samsung is expected to be much earlier than expected.
Han Zhengxi, president of Samsung's electronic video display division, said, "We expect the demand for micro LED TVs to surge in the market early next year and plan to sell."
Samsung Electronics first launched the miniature LED TV "The Wall" in the global TV industry earlier this year. The product is expected to be sold primarily to the B2B market, as B2C products take at least two to three years. It requires large-scale production technology and price competitiveness.
Different from the consensus of the industry, the introduction of miniature LED TVs for B2C exceeded expectations in one year. Samsung's confidence in mass production technology exceeds most people's expectations.
“A large proportion of micro LED TV application technology is similar to semiconductor process technology,†said an industry source. “Samsung Electronics has the best semiconductor technology in the world, so it can be used to develop miniature LED TVs.â€
