The seminar on the reliability of low voltage electrical appliances sponsored by the China Electrical Appliance Industry Association was held in Beijing on March 14. The seminar was mainly held in response to the discussion paper on reliability evaluation standards for low-voltage electrical appliances released by the Reliability Professional Committee of the China Standardization Association. In January, the Reliability Committee of the China Standardization Association convened the “Establishment Meeting of the Electrical Reliability Promotion Committee and the Working Conference for the Development of Reliability Evaluation Standards for Low-voltage Electrical Appliances”. The meeting announced the establishment of the Electrical Reliability Promotion Committee and announced the list of members, and read on the “Strengthen Recommendations for China's product reliability work.” The conference plans to use the low-voltage electrical industry as a pilot project. In 2012, it completed the preparation of 7 low-voltage electrical appliances reliability evaluation standards, and adopted this standard to implement electrical reliability evaluation in the low-voltage electrical industry. The experts and representatives from the participating companies all thought that the overall idea of ​​the Reliability Committee of the China National Standards Association on strengthening the reliability of products in China is good, but the current method of evaluating the reliability of low-voltage electrical products and marking them is not appropriate. The evaluation criteria and implementation methods proposed will cause the overlapping of standard systems and the confusion of standardization management, which will make many manufacturers in the low-voltage electrical appliance industry at a loss. The evaluation of the reliability of low-voltage electrical appliances is a technical and policy-intensive job, which will certainly bring great repercussions to the industry and users. There is no systematic study of the current industry overall product reliability level and a more scientific comprehensive evaluation method. The development of this work in the context of the situation is not conducive to regulating the healthy development of the low-voltage electrical appliance industry, nor is it conducive to improving the reliability of low-voltage electrical appliances.

Everyone suggested that: First of all, aiming at the current status of product reliability in the low-voltage electrical industry, China Electrical Appliance Industry Association and the National Low Standards Committee should take the lead, and the Associated Electrical Reliability Association, the Special Committee, and the National Low Voltage Electrical Testing Center should be included in the low-voltage electrical industry. In-depth analysis of product reliability level, and extensive consultation with industry enterprises and users of comprehensive evaluation of reliability of opinions and recommendations; Second, the organization of the industry to improve the reliability of test method standards, research reliability comprehensive evaluation methods; again, research and establish reliable Sex evaluation system, the development of evaluation rules and methods; then, joint research and testing institutions to develop equipment; Finally, the organization of industry-leading companies to verify and pilot, and gradually to the industry to promote, especially important is that the future look forward to through government support, association promotion, etc. Measures to effectively promote reliability work.
