The MAX98303 stereo 3.1W Class D amplifier provides class AB and Class D efficiency audio performance. The device provides five selectable gain settings (6dB, 9dB, 12dB, 15dB, and 18dB) set by a single gain selection input (gain).
Active radiation limitation, edge rate, and overshoot control circuits greatly reduce EMI. The filterless spread-spectrum modulation scheme eliminates the need for traditional output filtering in Class D devices. The number of applied components for these functions is reduced.
The IC's 2.0 mA is at 3.7 volts and 5.7 mA at 5V, and the quiescent current extends battery life in portable applications.
The IC is packaged in a 16-ball WLP package (1.68 mm x 1.68 mm x 0.64) and is available over the -40 ° C to + 85 ° C temperature range.
