1) First double-click the desktop MCGS configuration environment icon to enter the configuration environment. The middle window of the screen is the workbench.
2) Click the “New Project†option in the File menu to automatically generate a new project. The default project name is “New Project 0.MCGâ€.
3) Select the "Save Project As" menu item in the File menu to bring up the file save window.
4) Enter "Robot Control System" in the file name field, click the "Save" button, and the project is created.
In MCGS, variables are also called data objects. The real-time database is the data exchange and data processing center of the MCGS project. Data objects are the basic unit that constitutes a real-time database. The process of building a real-time database is the process of defining data objects. Defining the contents of the data object mainly includes: specifying the name, type, initial value and numerical range of the data variable to determine parameters related to the storage of the data variable, such as the period of saving, the time range of saving, and the retention period.
Allocation of variablesBefore we start defining, let's analyze the system to determine the variables we need. This system requires at least 16 variables
Variable definition steps1) Click the Real-Time Database tab in the workbench to enter the Real-Time Database window page, as shown in Figure 2. The name of the system existing variable "Data Object" is listed in the window. Some of them are data objects built inside the system. Now add the data objects defined in the table.
2) Click the “Add Object†button on the right side of the workbench to add a new data object to the window's data object list, as shown in Figure 3.
3) Select the data object, press the "Object Properties" button, or double-click the selected object to open the "Data Object Property Settings" window.
4) Change the "object name" to: start button; "object initial value" is changed to: 0; "object type" selection: switch type; in the "object content comment input box" input: robot start signal, X11 input, 1 is valid.
5) Click "OK". As shown in Figure 4.
6) Follow steps 2~5 to set up other data objects according to the above list.
7) Click the "Save" button.
