This means that for the first time, China's energy sector reforms the idea of ​​a major part of the energy system from the gradual clarity to the practice of landing - the National Electricity Regulatory Commission will be integrated into the National Energy Agency. At the same time, he was also informed that Wu Xinxiong, chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission, is expected to serve as the new director of the National Energy Administration.

Han Xiaoping, Chief Information Officer of China Energy Network, said in an interview that after the merger of the SERC and the National Energy Administration, its functions will change - the SERC will also convert the former public institutions into government units and their functions will also expand. Executive power is expected to increase.

The relevant experts also believe that although there has been no substantial breakthrough in the reformed energy management landscape, the integrated management capabilities of the National Energy Administration will be strengthened after reorganization, which is expected to promote the break of the power system reform. This is only the first step in the reform of the energy management system. It is expected that the regulatory area of ​​the future energy bureau will be extended to industries such as oil, natural gas, and coal.

However, such a unified pattern of political prisoners can only be a transitional plan. A report by the China Energy Research Association in September last year suggested that in the short term, China can adopt a unified model of political prisoners and internal independent institutions. In the future, with the advancement of energy market reforms, the energy regulatory agencies will be separated and transitioned to a model of separation of political prisoners.

The marketization of electricity prices and the reform of the power system will probably be the future direction of the development of China's electricity market, and these will also be an important proposition that the New Energy Agency will face in the later period.
